Eidulfitri 2021 Preparations (Part 3 of 3) : Raya Attire (Formal & Casual) From Ariani & Jakel
6:42 AM2 days before fasting month, we decided to went out (fast, no joke!) to grab as many new clothes as possible for our Raya attire. Since last year we are so not in the mood for Raya and recycle back our matching clothes set during Seff's Akikah, we decided to buy new one this year
We went to the mall on 10am, and got back home just after 12 (after lunch) because of the less crowd in the morning (and we are lovin' it).. Here are what we bought :
Dresses for Iris, Sara (floral pattern in navy), white dress for Rania, and many other tees, polo t-shirts and then clothes for my husband and I.
We grab as much as we can because we only hit the mall once
(COVID makes us do things differently now : go, shop, done!)
First round, done! I cannot list down their respective price because once home we detach the tag and wash 'em clothes!
A week into the fasting month, we decided to search for our formal attire for Raya/Eid. We finally decided to visit a one-stop centre that sure have a lot of options, to ensure we were back not-empty-handed. We visited JAKEL Ostia Bangi (because JAKEL is where we would always get matching color sets for men & young boys)
First step into Ariani, I had 1 design in my mind (but torn between 2 color choices), found it and tried. Satisfied, and straightaway went to counter to pay! (It happened in less than 20minutes). And we went upstairs for another matching set.. I tried 3 different Baju Kurung and finally satisfied with one! To be honest, it is my most money spent on a single Kurung! Ever!
Note : On the other note, since I helped mom with her pineapple tarts order so I got paid accordingly! Maybe this is Blessings.. (Rezeki/Rizq)
From the Kurung that I choose, we asked the staff to find us matching colour sets for men and boy. We tried them on Seff and then -we are done!
Note : I still choose a classic, simple Kurung for Raya, and not oh-so-extravagant design that is not practical for house chores. That's my number 1 priority..
Formal attire sets done and done!
These are what we purchased :
1. JAKEL EXCLUSIVE Baju Kurung in navy blue - RM685
2. NABIL AHMAD by JAKEL - RM229
3. UPIS & IPIN by JAKEL - RM79
4. ARIANI LOTTIE in maroon - RM259
5. CREACION Kurung in forest green/emerald - RM100+- (lost the price tag)
And then Husband purchased his Sampin from Songket Dunia separately after work some other day..
That's all for our Raya/Eid Attire! May we have a happy celebration! (although a restricted celebration one)
Until next post!
