Travelogue : Bali, Indonesia

4:47 PM

Our honeymoon destination : Bali.

We went to Bali in 2014. At that time the KLIA 2 was just opened for all flights operated by Air Asia.

Early hands of KLIA 2, so must take photo here I supposed

We reached Bali at night, and the queue at the Ngurah-Rai Airports was super longggg (so I heard Bali was super busy) so we checked into our hotel (Grand Mega Resorts & Spa Bali) and have a good night sleep.

The following morning we take a city stroll around Kuta(City stroll is what in our typical, self-made itineraries on Day 1!). If you walk around Kuta Beach, there are so many bars, cafes and the largest shopping center would be the Beachwalk shopping center.

#1 PLACE TO VISIT : KUTA BEACH

Me in front of the Beachwalk. Opposite Beachwalk (just cross the small street) is the Kuta Beach.

Main entrance - Kuta Beach

Walking.. walking..

#2 PLACE TO VISIT : NUSA DUA

We went to Nusa Dua later in the afternoon and there are many choices of water sport available here. Have you heard about Sea Walking?  For more information on what to do in Nusa Dua click HERE : The Top 10 Things to Do in Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua

#3 PLACE TO VISIT : PANDAWA BEACH

Pak Supir brought us to the newly opened (at that time) Pandawa Beach. We rent a canopy and sip on some coconut water

Husband looking so happy

Pandawa beach : arrays of canopy available for rent (cannot remember how much does it costs)

Refreshing drinks under the scorching hot sun

The observatory hillside area overlooking Pandawa beach

Thanks to Pak Supir we got to experience this first. Later we saw feed from friends -we glad we were able to make it to Pandawa beach.

#4 PLACE TO VISIT : ULUWATU TEMPLES (& KECAK DANCE)

While in Bali I mostly recorded videos (of our hotel room, in Tanah Lot, the Kecak Dance etc). Anyway Uluwatu is a Must-Visit in Bali! The pretty and scenery rock formations and temples located up the hill is something that we dont have back home in Malaysia.

Us at the Pura Luhur Uluwatu. Wearing the coloured little shawl was mandatory! Up here you cant wear clothes too revealing and have to take care of your belongings so the monkeys here wont try to catch anything on you (especially sunglasses)

Please wait for the Sun to set here. Anyway the Kecak Dance happen after sunset

So many stairs, must do some "follow-me-to" shots here *hehehe*

Sunset in Uluwatu. Told you its worth the wait

Here we met (helped to take photo) one Malaysian who turned out to be working in the same Department like myself! But I recently joined and didnt know him personally *tsk*

#5 PLACE TO VISIT : DINNER AT THE JIMBARAN BAY

Aahhh, couple things

This is the best (famous?) place for dining. Pak Supir usually brought tourist here after the Uluwatu back to Kuta because this place is located in between the two. Please reserve around 1 Million Rupiah (IDR) for a complete meal for two. Muslims do not order Bintang beers *hahaha*

#6 PLACE TO VISIT : TANAH LOT

My camera didnt do the justice but this is a must-visit place that must be at the top. Again, awesome rock formations *cry happily*

Us couples. There is professional photography services too and we hire one. Photo taken is paid MYR10 only, so cheappp

Around the temples..

The other side..

We found that purchasing souvenirs here are also super cheap! Can bargain some more and I managed to get few things for free (due to the large amount of purchase, of course)

Pretty, so must take photo

That is all for our Bali trip and we spent the rest of the day on shopping on some more goodies (OAKLEY), I managed to score myself some local brand dress and this super good quality shawl that Im so pissed I only get 1. The shawl is so goood even if I pinned it it doesnt torn. I got it in MATAHARI Kuta for about 300 IDR. And then I went to MATAHARI Batam and no such shawl is in sight. I dont even get its brand name *cry so much*

Husband with his new OAKLEY purchase

Me did the posing only
