Before Baby Walks… Baby Flies ✈️
4:48 PMThis trip wasn’t something I planned as a pregnant woman — it was something I committed to long before I knew. When I discovered I was expecting, I was still very early into the first trimester. And honestly, my mindset was the same as before:
“If ada rezeki, ada. Kalau tak ada, tak apa"
After having a miscarriage in 2023, I learned not to blame myself or my body. I truly believe our bodies have their own wmechanism — know when to discard an imperfect fetus. So with this pregnancy, I carried that same quiet acceptance. No high hopes, no overthinking… just go with it
Before the trip, I consulted the Operation Manager of Layang Layang Aerospace. He reassured me,
“No problem if no known risk.”
And since everything looked normal, I went ahead. To be honest, the crew made everything easier. They helped carry my bag, didn’t let me lift heavy items, and were so considerate without making me feel fragile. It was the perfect balance.
Over six days, we went on to 13 remote hydrology telemetry stations. And let me just say — I need to personally thank Captain Afro for giving me the smoothest ride of my life.
P.s. Even compared to airplanes I took in my first trimester, the difference was huge. The commercial flight landings were bouncy and rough. But the helicopter? It felt like landing on a mattress. Even on a concrete helipad, zero bumps. Not even a tiny jerk. Truly impressive.
It wasn’t just a work trip. It was a reminder that I’m capable, strong, and steady — even during a chapter where everything inside me is delicate and new. And alhamdulillah, everything went well.
Alhamdulillah
Until next post!
