No Sunburns, Just Fun : Our Indoor Adventure at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park, Kuala Lumpur
4:56 PM
It all started when my son watched Despicable Me.
He loved the part where Gru takes the three orphan girls — Margo, Edith, and Agnes — to the amusement park. Since then, he’s been asking, “Can we go on a roller coaster too?”
I knew this was coming! 😅
But knowing how my son can’t handle the heat (flashback to our Universal Studios Singapore trip where he melted faster than the ice cream), I suggested somewhere indoors — Berjaya Times Square Theme Park.
We’ve actually been there before — just the two of us as a couple — but this time, visiting again as parents with our son felt completely different. More meaningful, and definitely more fun in a chaotic kind of way!
He enjoyed almost every ride — from the kiddie train to the bumper cars. But when it came to the roller coaster, he hesitated. I couldn’t blame him — it looked way too extreme for a first-timer! (Honestly, I might have chickened out too. 😂)
Still, seeing him laugh, run around, and enjoy himself made it all worthwhile.
I made a short CapCut video compilation of our day — all the laughter, the rides, and his priceless expressions. It’s one of those small family moments I’ll treasure for a long time.
Berjaya Times Square Theme Park may not be the biggest in Malaysia, but it’s packed with nostalgia and joy. For us, it was more than just a day out — it was a little reminder of how fast our kid is growing up, and how much fun it is to see the world through his eyes.
Until next post!
