Racing Through 2025 : My Go-Karting Adventures Across Malaysia

4:30 PM

This year I committed to being more active and adventurous — aside from winning the office badminton masters. What really caught me by surprise was how much I really enjoyed go-karting this year. Here are my little milestones from the year so far:

April: Indoor Karting in Kuantan (East Coast Mall)

During a very busy out-station work day in Kuantan (yes, packed schedule from morning till night), I squeezed in a session of indoor karting at East Coast Mall with a colleague.

There were six drivers in total — all male — and I finished third. Not bad for my first attempt! It was such an adrenaline rush, and it instantly sparked my interest to do it again.

May: Karting in Langkawi (Morac Adventure Park)

The next round came in May during a trip to Langkawi. My colleague and I headed to Morac Adventure Park Langkawi, one of Malaysia’s most scenic karting circuits.

This time, there were eleven drivers on the track — once again, I was the only female — and I finished fifth. It wasn’t about winning though; it was the thrill, the smell of the track, the engine sound, and that satisfying mix of fear and excitement that made it unforgettable.

June: Family Karting—with My Son & Husband (Pinnacle Kart)

In June, after attending a wedding nearby, I decided to bring my family along for a fun session at Pinnacle Kart, Subang. It was my first time driving a twin-seat go-kart, with my son as my co-pilot!

Of course, safety came first, so we kept it slow and steady. Still, we had a little laugh when we overtook my husband — who happened to get stuck at the curbside during a turn. A small victory, but a sweet one!

Go-karting became more than just a sport for me this year — it was an outlet. It gave me a sense of freedom, focus, and fun all at once. Competing among mostly male drivers was both challenging and empowering, and sharing the track with my family made it even more meaningful.

For now, I’ve decided to take a short break from karting. Life has been shifting gears in an unexpected but beautiful way — something new is coming, and I’m slowing down to embrace it.

Until next post!
