What do we feel about waterfall? Sky is clear, so we decided to go to the Sg Tekala (consult with a friend previously, asking about its condition beforehand). So the decision came out of the blue..
The last time I had a proper dip into the sungai/waterfall is at Sg Gabai, back in 2007.. went there with college friends in 2006, and then with uni friends in 2007. (same site, but with different crowds)..
Since knowing my husband, we never thought of going to mandi sungai, eventhough it is probably the cheapest activity (almost completely free! minus own meals). However, way before marriage, we already went to theme parks like Sunway Lagoon, Berjaya Times Square, Genting Highlands and many more.. *high taste alert*
Probably hiking trail, I climb a few steps and decided not to continue because we had a trolley of stuffs that is definitely hard to be carried up there.. so we settled with whatever near the Sg Tekala entrance (camp site/canopy/where most people is)
Ample space, kids are having fun with water, but I found it extremely cold! Haha.
At a certain point, there is "mini" waterfall which was actually man-made, mini empangan so the water can be kept at a certain level, and create waterfall like this below : (nice in photo)
After a while, we went up the bank (where we put our stuffs) and had snacks. Since its an attraction, people coming means food (and rubbish) is around, making it rodent's favourite home so one should be alarmed by leptospirosis :
.. which was also alerted by the district's health department (above).
Overall, we are okay with the experience and felt like Seff is having fun, so we gotta visit more! Janda Baik next, perhaps?
Until next post!
