Cow's Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) Diet for a Baby

5:46 PM

Seff was admitted and discharged with Cow's Milk Protein Allergy (CMPA) and has then scheduled to visit Paediatrician (Gastroenterology) and Dietician. If your baby cannot take formula milk, throw up every time on formula milk, then please see a Paediatrician like we did. They probably would do a "milk challenge" like they did with Seff to rule out/confirm this allergy

Seff's diet now shall be free of cow's milk meaning he has a lot of items to avoid including :

Milk, casein, whey of any kind, butter, cheese, yogurt, milk chocolate, nougat, pudding, cream, sweetened condensed milk, etc

For list of items to avoid, we were handed a 2-pages list (only list!) but for public view, simply refer to this link : Cow's Milk Protein Allergy Ingredients (to avoid) List

I now have different view on babies with mommies soooooo strict saying their baby is fully-BF, where they incorporated/their baby enjoyed a lot of dairy products, like, DUHHHH

Don't get me wrong, Seff is a BF-baby still, but I am soooo against moms that is superbly anti-FM

.. particularly those who condemned / so sure that FM will make a child = a cow's baby, etc, that can make a child to be less "human". But what if a fully-BF child turned out to be bad, rotten? I only believe that GOOD BREASTMILK comes from mom's GOOD DIET and that is all

Okay, so I've been keeping this post as a draft for a very long time, just because I don't have the time for a food snaps. So I'll guide you to food that Seff CAN and CANNOT TAKE

The example of dishes are found from this link : (Babycentre : Everyone's favourite link!)

Tropical Fruit Salad : contains YOGURT

Rice with Peas, Carrots & Egg

Quinoa, Black Beans & Corn

Lentils & Spinach Stew

Broccoli & Cauliflower Cheese : contains CHEESE

Pasta with Spinach & Ricotta : contains CHEESE

Baby Shepherd's Pie

Salmon, Asparagus & Peas

Tomato & Avocado Scramble

There you have it, looks like a lot to avoid but there are many options available too. I am so grateful that Seff is taking a lot of food, not picky at all, and I love cooking for him!

(Full, everyday recipe on IG's story -available in my bio, under Cookbook tag)

Until then!
