The big day finally arrived—Universal Studios Singapore! We came prepared: express pass in hand, excitement in our hearts, and a toddler ready to conquer the park… or so we thought.
Seff was thrilled at first, especially after spotting the Minion merch (his current obsession). But after just two rides, he started declaring that it was too hot (it really was a blazing sunny day), and all he wanted was to go back to the hotel. Classic.
Despite the express pass going mostly unused (oops), we made the most of it. We spent most of our time circling the same area—Minion stuff, over and over again. But seeing Seff’s face light up each time made it all worth it.
Lunch at Goldilocks was surprisingly good—halal, yummy, and so cute! The Shrek-themed pancake set was a win, and even picky little Seff enjoyed it. While we didn’t go on many rides, we definitely made up for it with food and photos… and toys. Seff walked out proudly with his new Minion buddies in hand, so all was good in the world.
Verdict? Worth it.
Was the express pass a bit of a waste? Probably. But was it a fun and memorable day for Seff (and us)? Absolutely. Sometimes, it's not about doing everything—it's about the joy in the small things. Like riding the carousel twice, chasing shade under palm trees, or hugging a new toy like it’s treasure.
