PINKYLEONA

As expected, SephoraMY private sale makes appearance twice a year (May and November) so its the best time to pile on stocks (of your favourite beauty products), or grab whatever pricey items you wish to own

My wishlist this time is simpler, but lets just hope the items are available online, since I don't really do overcrowded space now with a newborn (long queue expected at Sephora MY everywhere!)

I already replenished most of my holy grail products like Tarte BB Tinted Primer, Sephora cotton rounds (6 months supply!), Sephora microsmooth powder & ARCONA cranberry toner just before giving birth so I was focusing on different products/concerns

The items I wish to buy are :

1. Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner

One of my holy grail products, and now left with around 30% so need to replenish this!

2. Tarte Hamptons Weekender Contour Palette

I plan to downsize 2 of my pouches (1 being for makeup and another for skincare) into a single makeup pouch contains all of my beauty products. Just doing so for travel purposes, thought more room needed for Seff later, we'll see

3. URBAN DECAY All Nighter Pollution Protection

Loving the all nighter setting spray, this newer version of anti-pollution seems even more appealing to own. I wish they will release this in travel size too

4. CLINIQUE Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil

I was behind, I know, but I want to try the double cleansing method now, hoping this could be an upgraded skincare routine of mine

5. LANCÔME Teint Idole Ultra Wear

I already impressed with the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation that claimed to be long lasting (24-hr), and this one could be another one to compare/review

6. PIXI Rose Tonic Nourishing Toner

I don't know, imagining this would smell like roses is .. tempting! Plus, I don't have problems using any kind of toner, high end or drugstore, cannot wait to try this!

That's all mine, share me yours! ❤

As previously mentioned, Seff was kept grounded, not going to the shopping malls before he's 3months old. But the hotel stays has started since he's 2 months old, with lotsa hotel criteria to consider (also previously mentioned)

We wanted hotel without carpets and should be new(er); not dated

The first and second hotel stay are just a 2D1N stay -so a luggage is enough for this little family of 3 -my husband, Seff and I

2D1N stay is just easy -the parents know exactly what to wear; and the remaining room is for baby stuffs (also has many room for even spare clothes -I packed 6pair of clothes for just a 2D1N hehe)

So we step up the challenge to a 3D2N stay with very mininal packing -thought this could help us planning for a longer/further away trip (travel overseas, perhaps in the future?)

Packing done into a cabin sized luggage + 1 diaper bag ONLY and here are what we bring along :

Inside the luggage to give clearer view of the different sections of mommy's, babah's and Seff's

The baby travel must-haves are:

1. Diapers : 30 + 10 pcs

2. Baby skincare (if overseas would bring travel sized, but this time its local so mommy favours pump type hehe)

3. Swaddle : 3 pcs (also functions as blanket/nursing cover)

4. Clothes : 5 short sleeves + 4 sleepsuits

5. Nappy sacks : 1 pack

6. Wet wipes : 1 pack (80pcs)

7. Mosquitoes repellent* (baby safe)

8. Natural disinfectant* (upon checked in to the hotel, I usually spray these all across the room just to ensure more protection for the baby)

9. Grooming essentials & meds (can add pcm too but Seff has been great so far -never catch a fever post-jab, so moms should know her baby better here)

10. Pouch for bonnet/bib/socks/mitten : 3-4 pairs (but haven't used any. Sleepsuits brought mostly got integrated feet)

*mommy's personal fave

You might be wondering why is there no pack of diapers inside our luggage? As also previously mentioned, I am using Bambo Nature diapers and they are considerably thin, thus fits perfectly into my Jujube B.F.F diaper bag

The diaper bag also fits toys & baby grooming essentials. I think its wise to bring these inside the diaper bag -knowing these comes in handy if we were to travel overseas/long time spent in airport. So the luggage (all checked in), are strictly for clothes

This time it would be a little heavy, so it's daddy duty! Hehe

The grooming essentials are :

Ear thermometer, nasal aspirator, nail clipper, hair brush and diaper cream are my baby essentials

Please note that this very packing checklist is true if your baby is feeding on demand, direct latch and is breastfed. So the supply is readily THERE -no need breastpump/collecting cup, bottles, storage bottles/bags, baby safe bottle cleaner, bottle and nipple brush, ice packs, insulated bag, God, the list is long!

(Which will be different too once Seff has started his solid journey, I believe)

Until then, hope this helps!

(you, or me in the future wondering again what to pack with probably a new baby LOL)

Since I have been using this diaper bag for quite a while, thought I'd share what's in my diaper bag -the Jujube B.F.F

The minimal prints is chosen because its the safest choice -especially if I'm going to wear top/clothes with prints (especially work attire/kurungs/batik)

Note : I pointed out the Jujube latest print (sakura swirl) at the Mothercare MY this one time, and he hated it (me too!)

To be honest, I don't find this B.F.F be bulky/heavy. With whatever I am carrying (which is minimal), this bag is very comfortable to the shoulder (thumbs up to its super comfortable shoulder pad, please try it in-store!)

Feels lightweight just like carrying Longchamp lePliage, but this one with shoulder pad hehe

So for everyday use, the Jujube B.F.F looks like this (with soooo much space left!) :

The B.F.F has :

A. Back sleeve (for its changing mat)

B. Side insulated pocket (which I sometimes carrying expressed BM for Seff's next feed)

C. Interior compartment (of 6 different pockets which will be shown later on)

D. Mommy pocket

E. Zippered pocket for smart phone

The interior has 6 different pockets which made organizing baby items so much easier -which made life easier. The pockets are shown/labelled below :

1. Back zippered pocket : Documents (copy IC), valuables (rings etc)

2. Back pocket : 10 diapers (5 pcs per pocket, I use Bambo Nature eco-friendly diapers)

3. Side pocket : Aden & Anais bamboo swaddle

4. Side pocket : Tissue, Thermometer & Minyak yu yee are to me the most important!

5. Main compartment : Travel wipes (snapkis, at the moment), Rattle/toys & My snack cup (mostly kurma in it)

6. Front zippered pocket : change of clothes

For the mommy pocket I bring along with me :

1. Hair brush (Tangle Teezer)
2. Ball Pen
3. Mirror & Watch
4. Internet Huddle
5. Coin Pouch (Jujube)
6. Lucas Papaw ointment
7. Nipple cream (Medela)
8. Lipstick (le Marc Lip Creme)
9. Hand sanitizer (Euky Bear)
10. Perfume (Nina Ricci)

Think I missed out anything?

1. BOON Groovy Modware Set

While Seff will start on solid soon, this feeding set is to me really cute

2. ERGOBABY OMNI 360° Carrier

We agreed to purchase this last year, to also wait for Seff's arrival before splurging on pricey baby gadgets. Lesson learnt the hard way with Elana, where we purchased so many items and not using any. But we glad Seff got to use them now (i.e. Doona stroller, sterilizer, warmer etc)

3. BEABA Babycook (Cherry)

Loving this colour to match with appliances we have at home. But we don't mind the brand though. Any steamer+blender combined that served the same purpose is what I really want..

4. IKEA ANTILOP Highchair

We know we need this too and it is really cheap, yeah, definitely gonna buy this soon (along with other plastic cups/plates/bowls etc from IKEA MY hehe)

5. SKIP HOP Explore & More Jumpscape Foldaway Jumper

Husband has approved all the above, and I recently show him this (a video of this, from Skip Hop official channel), and he nodded. He just nodded. I don't know if he was really serious but I guess it's a yes for now. I love that this can keep Seff busy and it is compact/easy to fold for storage and travel with

Ooh hell yes I'm mad when someone mistaken our dearest Chicken Rendang over fried chicken (we all believe so-lah). What crispy skin?? *facepalm*

For those who didn't know this issue, here is the news:

ABOUT THE RENDANG

Rendang, be it chicken or beef, is our local, classic dish served often with nasi lemak or ketupat/lemang during festive.

Everyone can google how Rendang is made, and here our talented, well known Chef Wan has some important notes:

During my study years, I remember eating nasi goreng + rendang for breakfast almost everyday! We are that FAMILIAR WITH RENDANG, you know..

Although I am no professional cook, I can definitely cook Rendang. I bet most malaysians can

THE JOKE

Knowing that Gregg Wallace and John Torode and the entire crew from the Masterchef UK show didn't know, cross-check/refer before editing the show is well, TO ME UNACCEPTABLE

THE NEED TO BE GOOD AT WHAT WE ARE DOING

We all play a part in this world; I keep telling myself I shall be good in my job/what I'm doing; so as an Engineer, I know my calculations

I still go to library to find books -especially those related to my job description as an engineer/designer. I even borrow books written in Japanese! That explains my language profiency : Bahasa Melayu, English, Nihongo & Deutsch!

THEN, THE ONE WHO WANTS TO BE AN A**HOLE

But John Torode to me just became an a**hole while replying someone on twitter like this:

Like what, cannot lower ego a bit and apologize? Now want to open history books?

While not doing so (apologize), the entire MasterChef UK and their so-called "judges/experts" reputation totally ruined. This show is a total joke to me

Even as an expert, YOU KEEP LEARNING AND GROWING, GUYS. Remember that

Rant over, thank you for reading my thoughts

#SoliditariRendang

Keep calm 1988 babies, you're turning 30 this year!

As for myself, I always picturing myself having gorgeous trip too this year, haha, but no, when Seff is in the picture, there are boundaries I myself set

For example, we didn't hit the Shopping Malls until Seff is 3 months old. And probably won't travel with Seff until he is at least 1 year old (or 11 months, I don't know..)

Although we went to the mall now, we went to places that is less crowded

(So sayang this baby of mine. Meaning, I'm soooo scared taking him out, exposing him to the not-so-clean outside world)

.. although he wasn't a NICU graduate

So we went to a hotel (don't get me start with the criteria -no carpet, must be new not dated, etc), all to make sure Seff stays healthy

Unboxing surprise box

Husband got me a surprise box -a box filled with large and small balloons, with messages inside box and on the large balloon

The surprise box

Inside that box too, houses my birthday present : Jujube B.F.F !

Thanks le husband, you know me well. I love my stylish diaper bag!

Will reveal what did I pack inside my Jujube B.F.F. real soon..

I love a hotel stay like this, where we just spent time indoor because yes, there is so much things to be done with baby, like bathing, playing etc. Husband is soo good at keeping me full by purchasing food from outside (he walks, guys!)

He tapau-ed me Ee Ji Ban Chicken Rice Ball (Halal) because its so close to the Hotel (walking distance only!)

Here just enjoy my photos (like what I shared on Instagram too) :

The hotel : The Straits Hotel & Suites Malacca

30 years passed, 30 more years to work! LOL

Till next post!

I already tried packing our stuffs -my husband's, mine and seff's combined in a single luggage for a weekend getaway a few times now

Note : we packed our stuffs into a cabin sized luggage only! Pheww
(will share detailed items packed later since we are trying for a 3d2n stay next)

Obviously mommy need to sacrifice some space for baby Seff! To make it work, I make rules for myself, which is to limit my personal items to 1 bag only

I previously carried 2 bags for the makeup only -although not using everything I brought along with me hehe

Therefore I feel the need of revealing whats in my makeup bag (travel edition) just because.. mission accomplished!

They are also my current favourites. Some are really oldie but goodie

P.s. I also love Beauty Blender but for travel purpose, I don't bring along the sponge in its case because it took a lot of space!

As for my backup blush shades? I bring along NUDESTIX, and most of the times I use MAC lipstick as my blusher

The colour appears to me a lot like Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush in Flesh & Fantasy

Till next post!
