PINKYLEONA

I already tried packing our stuffs -my husband's, mine and seff's combined in a single luggage for a weekend getaway a few times now

Note : we packed our stuffs into a cabin sized luggage only! Pheww
(will share detailed items packed later since we are trying for a 3d2n stay next)

Obviously mommy need to sacrifice some space for baby Seff! To make it work, I make rules for myself, which is to limit my personal items to 1 bag only

I previously carried 2 bags for the makeup only -although not using everything I brought along with me hehe

Therefore I feel the need of revealing whats in my makeup bag (travel edition) just because.. mission accomplished!

They are also my current favourites. Some are really oldie but goodie

P.s. I also love Beauty Blender but for travel purpose, I don't bring along the sponge in its case because it took a lot of space!

As for my backup blush shades? I bring along NUDESTIX, and most of the times I use MAC lipstick as my blusher

The colour appears to me a lot like Marc Jacobs Beauty Air Blush in Flesh & Fantasy

Till next post!

I probably am not some kinda most organized, OCD mommy but hey I tried! This storage/drawer is kinda temporary, before Seff moves to his own room with even bigger wardrobe/storage unit

Mommy's next plan : getting inspirations for boy's room decor! ❤

6 drawers of baby clothes and textiles, except drawer #1 where I keep baby supplies

TOP DRAWERS

Drawer #1 : Baby supplies
Drawer #2 : Matching clothes

INSIDE DRAWER #1
(a) : Cotton buds (SNAPKIS)
(b) : Diaper cream (MUSTELA)
(c) : Cotton balls (MOTHERCARE)
(d) : Wet Wipes (BAMBO Nature)

INSIDE DRAWER #2
(a) : Matching tees we wish to collect
(b) : Batman tee & Batman sleepsuit

The matching tees in Drawer #2 were all purchased even before Seff is in the picture! There are matching Batman tees, and sadly those I❤Sydney and I❤Melbourne matching tees for us can only be worn when Seff is a bit bigger (bought size 2, because no more of size 0)

MIDDLE DRAWERS

Drawer #3 : Baby clothes (rarely reached)
Drawer #4 : Baby clothes (current daily use)

INSIDE DRAWER #4
(a) : Bodysuits (Carters)
(b) : Bodysuits (Mothercare MY)
(c) : Sleepsuits (NEXT UK)
(d) : Bodysuits (NEXT UK, H&M etc)
(e) : Bodysuits (H&M)
(f) : Sleepsuits (BONDS)

Current, daily use clothes are placed inside drawer #4.

Clothes inside drawer #3 are less reached for now because it contains snap shirts (mostly used during confinement period) and bodysuits of larger size (month 6-9)

BOTTOM DRAWERS

Drawer #5 : Miscellaneous
(spare towels/pilowcases/mittens/booties/etc)
Drawer #6 : Swaddles

INSIDE DRAWER #6
(a) : Bamboo swaddles (Hudson Baby)
(b) : Bamboo swaddles (Aden & Anais)
(c) : Napkins (Anakku)
(d) : Zippered swaddles (Woombie, ErgoCocoon)

Swaddles are important to me to restrict Seff's movements during sleep that could wake him up in the middle of sleep. It works well, and my mom praised all the bamboo swaddles I own for its softness (and coolness)

I personally prefer Aden & Anais over Hudson Baby. And ErgoCocoon over Woombie (Woombie material to me is too thick for Malaysia's hot and humid weather)

Till next post!

I started buying hijab in 2014. And then there was this brand, Naelofar Hijab (NH), selling hijab at more affodable price (RM50) at that time, way cheaper if compared to other huge brand like FAREEDA

But hey, Im going for affordable one, always!

It started out with just a few pieces, and then I, without-much-thinking-or-have-high-hopes, entered a contest (#NHandHandbag3DaysChallenge)

And then I won!

Got the chance to meet with Neelofa herself #girlcrush

Andddd my NH collections expanded rapidly, while NH religiously updated 'em collections

And then there was another contest / video challenge -to put on as much shawls as you can under 1 minute

Again, I won!

P.s. they selected not 1, but 10 winners

Got this beautiful Swarovski bracelet, I keep wearing this when I go out

And for the last time I entered another contest #inmyladylofa , with minimum purchase of 5 pcs Lady Lofa shawl, my best shot in the contest was :

(At my current favourite place on Earth)

.. but this didnt win me anything hehe

And their collections thereafter also werent as exciting as the previous ones -I keep seeing shawlsss 😑

My favourite collection from NH is Isabelle (cross awning)

P.s. I dont do square shawl. Or satin

I stopped buying for a while now (>6 months, thats something!) so I made this post before my entire collection becomes obsolete hihi

Till then!

Mom always wanted to make pulut kuning for Seff's arrival (just some Malay tradition; pulut kuning symbolizes gratitude -when something good happened) ; and then we wanted to celebrate my mom's 61st and Sara's first birthday (Sara = my niece)

So we gathered and mom cooked pulut kuning, rendang, nasi impit, kuah kacang and sambal telur puyuh. I cooked sayur lodeh and spaghetti carbonara. Together we made karipap pusing

Sadlyyy no photos of our cooked dishes. Sobs

At 10 am, all the little ones are dressed but the birthday girl Sara was sleepy so we had to straightaway proceed to cake-cutting. But Sara was still cranky and we got Iris taking over (and not gonna step down for anyone else to do the cutting beside her. LOL); we finally had some photos for safekeep

At 12pm, our neighbours, my colleagues and our extended family came over to eat and chit chat. It was a nice afternoon ❤

/me switching roles between a host and a mom (went to bedroom for a comfortable feeding)

Lessons learnt that afternoon are :
(/me imagining Seff's 1st Birthday Partyyy)
1. To plan according to Seff's sleeping pattern
2. To hire a professional photographer
3. To have both eastern and western dishes options like we did (surprisingly, I had to cook carbonara again because it was cleared up! Everyone with little child said their child eats pasta -good to know!)

Since there were no accidents, the child play with each other comfortably, I guess our seating arrangement and all are good that day 😊

HAPPY 61st BIRTHDAY, MOM!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, SARA!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD, MY DEAR SEFF!

Another year to be grateful, Alhamdulillah

*Honest review. Product was puchased on my own*

I know the need to sterilize bottles -especially before first use; if you have a premature baby; or if you constantly found your LO being sick. Other than these, I guess weekly/biweekly sterilizing is OK

P.s. My nieces bottles arent sterilized daily, and they're doing very well. Rarely get sick -thus the above statement made

The most famous method of sterilizing bottles these days are : steam sterilizing (electric); as opposed to the boiling method like our moms used to

But I constantly questioned myself : what to do with the wet bottles post-sterilized?

And then there are this question being raised in the TBAN group and I recall there were so many different answers/opinions like ;

"Just shake until most of the water out"

"Water inside there is sterilized, safe to consume"

"We rinse the bottle with hot water"

Being a concerned, overthinking pregnant lady I curiously searched for something other than steam sterilizing so I found :

(A) Steam Sterilizer with drying function

(B) UV sterilizer (become very popular now)

So I bought myself the option (A) :

LITTLE BEAN PREMIUM Multi Function Drying Sterilizer

The sterilizer and my favourite corner of the room

So far I am loving this drying sterilizer and my steps taken (to sterilize bottles) are as follows:

1. Pour water according to instructions

2. Insert & arrange bottles at the bottom tray. If you are using Dr Browns bottles you will love this sterilizer -the tray fits Dr Browns bottle parts (vents) perfectly

Arranging bottle parts to show how the bottle vent (blue colour) fits perfectly. Me likey!

The many parts of Dr Browns bottle

3. Arrange other small parts on the upper tray

Small parts on upper tray

3. Close lids and start the sterilizing & drying : pushing only a single button (automatically proceed to drying once sterilizing completed)

Lets pretend the sterilizing and drying is on-going hehe

The sterilizing took 12 minutes; drying took another 30 minutes

4. Once dried and cooled, I straightaway assembled all parts and placed the bottles next to the sterilizer -and there I have a sterilized bottles ready everytime!

Sterilized bottles ready for use!

P.s. I rarely feed Seff through bottles so I mostly sterilized breastpump parts now

This is my girlfriend once asked me about my sterilizer :

Anyway, I believe there are only 2 brands that offer such sterilizing+drying functions -Little Bean Premium and MIMOSA

And their tray look identical! 😅

Until next post!

Sorry for no-face photos. His face may be found in my IG

My morning routine has completely changed since Seff arrival

This journey is new, it might be different than everybody else but its my story..

Morning routine is the most predictable, well-arranged one -and it starts at around 6 am

6 am : Wake up, change diapers, feeding session

7 am : When Seff falls asleep, mommy get to shower in the morning and prepare for Seff bath

8 am : Seff's bath time, change to new clothes and have some grooming session, temperature measurement & health check

9 am : Feeding session, put to sleep, mommy had breakfast

10 am : Mommy get to do laundry / other house chores

By the time afternoon hits, every house chores are done and there will be diaper changings & feedings in between his afternoon nap/sleep

Around 1pm, Seff usually awake between feeding so I use that time for tummy time and playing session

P.s. for now there are only baby gym and rattles only

Seff has been an easy baby in general, as told by my mom, in comparison with her other cucu. I can do the laundry, fold clothes all before 5pm because he has been sleeping soundly

FYI, since my delivery until now, I didnt do the cooking and my mom has been a great help. I will be staying with my mom until Seff is 6 months old, and I hope I'd be able to be in the kitchen more soon

.. as for my sleep, I think I got enough everyday (6hrs at least) to make it through the day

P.s. I don't sleep during the day, but I go to bed as early as 8, 9pm

Below are the preparations made on daily basis, or my favourites routine/baby items worth mentioning :

 The bath setup for Seff

My favourite baby skincare will be Mustela Gentle Cleansing Gel -nicely scent with the best ingredients. So far Seff has no skin issues too

 The grooming essentials

The items I used most are : (importance in order)

1. Thermometer (Tommee Tippee). I also have an ear thermometer but Paeds told me this type is more accurate
2. Nail clipper (Tommee Tippee). Must trim biweekly
3. Hair brush (Tommee Tippee). On daily basis, of course
4. Cotton balls (Mothercare Malaysia). To clean eyelids, ears etc
5. Cotton bud (Snapkis)
6. Nasal aspirator

Another favourites/essentials of mine are :
1. BAMBO Nature wipes
2. EUKY BEAR Eucalyptus Spray & Hand Sanitizer
3. DETTOL hand sanitizer
4. Lucas PawPaw ointment
5. Mustela Baby Oil & Vitamin Barrier Cream
6. Buds Anti-bac Toy and Surface Cleaner

My most used items from the above are actually the wipes (of courseee), hand sanitizer and Eucalyptus Spray (Euky Bear) -which I use/spray near Seff crib at the living hall where he shares the space with everyone in the family

P.s. Seff sleeps upstairs (master bedroom), and we also placed a cot downstairs in the common area (living hall)

The diaper changing setup. We have another changing set downstairs. Been using BAMBO Nature diapers and wipes
My mom was also impressed with the Tommee Tippee Sangenic -she told me she tried the usual pail (with lids, those u pressed open using feet one) and they (used diapers) still stink
P.s. Those were one of the unnecessary purchases; just because we already have so much unused items that was meant for Elana!

Tommee Tippee Sangenic
Cant wait to another new day, another new things learnt!

Till then!

*this post is longggg overdue*

End of 2017 was filled with many SephoraMY holiday sets, sales that I didnt miss

My last SephoraMY haul in 2017 is actually a day before I gave birth! Well, my last days of pregnancy is filled with MC and I walk everyday to the shopping malls

I did the driving, walk around shopping malls and shop shop shop!

And during confinement period, being indoor left me no chance to try many of the items bought!

But these are what I got for myself from Sephora :

The last #SephoraMYhaul in 2017

1. FRESH Sugar Lip Lovelies Set
2. BECCA X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette
3. NUDESTIX Berry Nude Lip & Cheek
4. It Cosmetics Heavenky Luxe Must Haves Brush Set
5. This Works Sleep Tight
6. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
7. ARCONA Cranberry Toner*
8. Beautyblender + Blendercleanser Solid*
9. TARTE BB Tinted Treatment Primer*
10. SEPHORA Microsmooth Powder*

* The usual, replenish my holy grail beauty products

And near the end of 2017, ColourPop also offer 30% through their entire site -I also bought their products I long for for a while

Items bought :
1. You Had Me at Hello Shadow Palette
2. Golden State of Mind Shadow Palette
3. Super Shock Cheek Matte (Cruel Intentions)
4. Super Shock Cheek Satin (Birthday Suit)
5. Super Shock Cheek Pearlized (Wisp)
6. Ultra Matte & Ultra Satin Lips
7. Eyeshadow Brushes

All shadow palettes bought are actually my first eyeshadow ever bought! I never put on eyeshadow on daily basis/at work, if I had eyeshadow on it probably applied by MUA (like I had during my wedding), so I'd like to master the art

.. using the cheapest palette I could get (before buying myself the other pricier ones from SEPHORA -like the Urban Decay Naked palette 😍)

Will need help from my girlfriend so stay tuned! I still havent got the chance to meet up with my dear GFs since Seff arrived (to have sleepover & play with makeup)

Until next post !
(and perhap, new skills! 😜)
