Travel Wishlist : Malaysia
4:40 PM
I went to Batam last year when I had a conversation with a local, 10-year old boy there:
Note : I kinda surprised that local Batam boy speaks a lot like Bahasa Malaysia, not Bahasa Indonesia. I later found out that the Malaysian cartoon Upin Ipin is sooo famous there, and they tend to speak a lot like they way those characters speak (Bahasa Malaysia)
"Kak dari mana"/ "Where are you from?"
"Malaysia"
The Iconic Towers of Malaysia - Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower
When I mentioned the city name (he obviously asked for details), he will replied back with the place's signature building/attractions
Malacca = A Famosa
Cameron Highland *written here* = Tea estate
This boy knows a lot about Malaysia and Im proud! ^^,
Of course, being a local I visited many of the attractions for countless times such as KLCC, Putrajaya, Batu Caves, Cameron Highlands, Penang, Pulau Langkawi, Port Dickson etc.
☑ Dinner at the Atmosphere 360 revolving restaurant at KL Tower
☑ Dinner at the Ampang Lookout Point (countless times)
☑ Eat nasi lemak at both Tanglin and Village Park
☑ Shopping at Jalan TAR/Johor Premium Outlets/Pavillion
And while attending work-related meetings, I frequently did fly to Penang, Kedah (because I took care of projects in Northern Region) but definitely missed out on local favourites/tourist attractions.
If I had the time Id like to revisit the following tourist attractions in 2017:
Source (of photos) : http://www.malaysia.travel/en/my/experiences/top-25-experiences/
1. PULAU LANGKAWI, KEDAH (last visited in 2008)
2. MALACCA (hometown, but last proper visit to A'Famosa was in 2015, while accompanied our Indonesian relatives visiting Malaysia)
St. Paul's Hill (A'Famosa)
Stadthuys and Trishaw riding
3. PULAU REDANG, TERENGGANU (last visited in 2014)

4. PAHANG (last visited in 2016)

**but this would be the last choice because I fancy their food only - Mee Udang & Char Kuey Teow! *drool*
