Seff turning 6 months marked 2 biggest events -me starting to work 😐 and his weaning @ solid food journey
Baby haul done at 4 months are mostly for his weaning journey hehehe #excitedmommy
Before the journey even begin, I already determined to begin with the simplest, using 4months old-approved ingredients : rice, banana and avocado
The first week :
1. Banana puree
Banana Puree Recipe :
1. Peel banana
2. Mash the banana
3. Add breastmilk/baby's usual milk until desired consistency
4. Feed them fresh (will oxidize)
2. Avocado puree
Avocado Puree Recipe :
1. Cut the avocado in half
2. Slice and spoon them out and mash the avocado
3. Add breastmilk/baby's usual milk until desired consistency
5. Feed them fresh (will oxidize)
3. Rice Porride
Rice Porridge Recipe:
1. Cook the porridge with no salt or sugar
2. Processed/blend the rice porridge until desired consistency
3. Porridge ready to serve. Always check its temperature before feeding your baby
To upgrade this surely-bland rice porridge, you can add vegetables like spinach, broccoli, carrots, potato and so on
The second week :
1. Vege Porridge
Introduce vege early they said. They will love vege they said. So yeah, we did it hehehe
Rice Porridge Recipe:
1. Cook the porridge with no salt or sugar
2. Add vege of choice. My mom has been a big help, she made different one everyday like:
Rice + Spinach
Rice + Potato
Rice + Carrot
Rice + Sweet Potato
Rice + Broccoli
3. Processed the porridge and ready to serve. Always check its temperature before feeding your baby
The third and following week (6-7months) :
One time, Seff had chicken porridge outside and loooooooving it. I never seen him eat so much like that before, so yeah, protein ON!
And Seff started to have full meal, all well-processed/blended, 5 meals a day (3 hot meals and 2 snacks). The meal plan is as follows:
Breakfast (porridge)
Snack (fruit puree)
Lunch (porridge)
Snack (fruit puree)
Dinner (porridge)
The main rule for hot meals/porridge cooked daily is as follows:
Rice + Protein + Vege + Oil/Fat

1. Chicken Porridge
Chicken Porridge Recipe:
1. Cook the porridge with no salt or sugar
2. Add olive oil+onion, chicken and then vege (potato/carrot/spinach/broccoli) until well cooked. I started with all vege mentioned and sometimes give different combination a go
3. Processed the porridge and ready to serve. Always check its temperature before feeding your baby
Seff started to eat full meals and we noticed his appetite improved a lot! He loves them all -with or without onion, with little or many vege, and he also eat all his snack sampai licin!
My choice of fish are : Jenahak, Ikan Merah and Ikan Bilis (sangai and processed until become serunding-like)
For snack, we tried with different fruits and combination as follows:
Recipe:
1. Peel and slice both banana and avocado into the processor
2. Processed the combination until smooth and ready to serve/freeze for a week
3. Always check freshness before feeding
4. Banana-Blueberry Puree
Recipe:
1. Peel and slice a banana and add blueberris into the processor
2. Processed the combination until smooth and ready to serve/freeze for a week
3. Always check freshness before feeding
5. Guava Puree
Recipe:
1. Peel and remove seeds from the guava
2. Slice/dice into pan and simmer for 5 mins until tender (same procedure for making apple puree) 3. Place the cooked guava into the processor
4. Processed the fruit until smooth and ready to serve/freeze for a week
5. Always check freshness before feeding
6. Dragonfruit Puree
Recipe:
1. Slice/dice the dragonfruit flesh into a processor
2. Processed the fruit until smooth and ready to serve/freeze for a week
3. Always check freshness before feeding
So far Seff is loving all his meal and snack we made. I cant tell which one he dislike more because he even finishes his guava puree in no time! #effortwellpaid
And as he turned 7months+, I wanted to try more than just porridge so I went to the baby food section in Jaya Grocer to learn about other ingredients/combination to try and guess what?
PASTA IS HIS NEXT MEAL ❤
(Will continue in next post)
Until next post!
