Birth Story : Seff
9:31 PM
On my 34 weeks of pregnancy, my BP spiked (again) during maternal checkup at Pantai Hospital and I was prescribed Labetalol and had my Dexa shots
P.s. if you think Dexa shots is horrible, youve never gone through MgSO4 obviously. Thats the real bitch =_=" I had it last year prior to Elana's birth

So at 36 weeks we decided to straightaway going for an elective LSCS, just because I didnt want to be induced and I still had issues with my high BP. I just want to have the safest, easiest delivery. So we decided to have it at Pantai Hospital during my 38 weeks -only the exact date of the week left undecided
One morning, at 5am, my water broke at home and I straightaway woke my husband up. He's up, but it was me who told him to just chill and no need to rush. We decided to be at the hospital around 8am
Reason why : I dont feel any pain at all hehe
At 9am, CTG done and I think I felt contractions, but it was mild and bearable. And then around 10am the doctor (1 junior and 1 senior) went to do the VE to check for the opening -I believe (I was kinda eavesdropping) that the doc on duty is telling her specialist that I was 2cm dilated
I think the call was made to arrange for my close-fetal-monitoring at birth

P.s. I was told (around 28weeks), I can try for VBAC, provided there is no other complications (like uncontrolled, high BP), and they will do close fetal monitoring during the birth (it will either be a normal delivery, or an emergency LSCS)
BUT at 10am plus, I felt an intense contractions (to me it felt like period pain, only stronger), and I told the doctors I need to lie down. Granted, another junior doctor did VE again, and told me I was 7cm dilated (THAT FAST, OMG!)
I was straightaway sent to the labour suite. Pushed 2 times and the baby is out! It was UNBELIEVEABLE
I didnt plan for a successful VBAC, I set my expectations really low towards the end of my pregnancy and Alhamdulillah, my childbirth this time is an easy one
Although with some complications left untold, we both survived this and thats all matter -I am the happiest person on Earth! Id like to thank my husband for his unending supports, efforts and every good things hes done to me. I did none in terms of house chores, he didnt even let me do laundry, mopping floor or clean up the house -I am allowed to cook and play with my cat ONLY hehe
Welcome to the World, our rainbow baby Seff!
