SENHENG WP PUTRAJAYA REVIEW : Will Not Purchase Anything Here Ever Again..

It all started in 2023 when I decided to upgrade my fridge and been eye-in on the LG Instaview 595L fridge like I mentioned in previous post : HERE.

I splurged on an LG InstaView 595L for RM5000++, marking it as my priciest kitchen gadget ever, and paid upfront—no installments. Expecting a swift, same-weekend delivery as promised, I was dismayed when SENHENG WP Putrajaya informed me that their weekend schedule was "full" right after I’d already committed (payment made). We rescheduled for a weekday, but then they bailed, claiming they couldn't find a lorry or driver. (Isn’t SENHENG supposed to have their own fleet?) After settling on another date, I was greeted with yet another letdown: the item arrived defective. 

I took to Google Reviews to share my frustration too.

When the LG InstaView finally arrived, it came with a surprise of its own—dents on the exterior. I suspect these dents might have been due to mishandling during delivery, but without concrete evidence, it's all speculation. We rejected the delivery on the spot, imagining it could be a start to a horrible episodes of fridge drama. 

Refund Follies: The Waiting Game

Next came the wait for a refund, which is slowly processed and settled about 3months. We were resolute: no new fridge until the old one’s ghost was officially exorcised from our financials. And as for SENHENG? Let’s just say we won't return/banned this store for now..

With the refund in hand, I set out on a new fridge hunt. The LG InstaView 458L was probably discontinued, and I was left considering its ginormous cousin, the 671L model.

During the Year-End Sale 2023, I hit a snag. Despite my best efforts, LG just didn’t wow me. But my son was totally enchanted by the SAMSUNG Family Hub, especially its doodle feature—pure magic for a six-year-old.

The Happy Ending: the Samsung Family Hub

Finally in 2024, I made the decision to purchase the SAMSUNG Family Hub. With a capacity of 661 liters, it is notably larger than I had initially anticipated; however, sometimes it is necessary to opt for a more substantial choice. The additional space has proven to be a pleasant surprise and has greatly enhanced my experience. The voice assistant, Bixby, has quickly become an invaluable aid in the kitchen, assisting with tasks such as playing music and setting timers. Furthermore, my son has enjoyed utilizing the fridge’s screen for his creative doodles.

So, my search for the perfect fridge had its ups and downs, but ended well. If you’re shopping for a new fridge, know that it might take a bit of time and patience, but you might just find the perfect one for your kitchen.

So here’s to the SAMSUNG Family Hub—my fridge, probably the only kitchen assistant I approved (probably the same price as Thermomix, but I hate Thermomix haha -such a disgrace to those who cook well).

During a work/site visit at Pahang, I had the opprotunity to dine at Kafe Belibis, a unique café set within a stationary train coach in Pekan, Pahang. The setting, surrounded by well-maintained green lawns and lush scenery, offered a picturesque backdrop.

Initially, I anticipated that the café's charm lay primarily in its distinctive ambiance. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. It was a simple, traditional cuisine that is great for visitors like me and not just another tourists trap. I had Laksa Pahang (red gravy), it was exceptionally flavorful and demonstrated that simplicity can indeed deliver outstanding results.

My colleague told me this catering is well known. I love that this experience is unique and made the journey worthwhile (it took around 40mins from Kuantan). We tried took a seat inside the train coach for come unique experience (the indoor seat is fully air-conditioned, and there are outdoor seats as well).

This café has proven itself to be more than just a scenic spot. Its combination of unique setting and delicious local cuisine makes it a destination worth revisiting (recommended to everyone I've known). 

Even the most organized beauty aficionado can find themselves facing a postponed project. When we moved into our new house over a year ago, I skipped this part where I need to sort all of my makeup and fast forward (time flies!), master bedroom finally ready. When this room is ready, my makeup vanity/table shall be ready too. The time had finally come to tackle this long-overdue task. Here’s a peek into how I transformed my beauty setup from a delayed project into a perfectly curated collection.

Out with the Old: Freshening Up My Beauty Stash

The first step in this beauty overhaul was a thorough product audit. Even though I’m usually on top of things, it was clear that a few expired items had slipped through the cracks. It's amazing how much more invigorating a beauty collection feels when it’s free of outdated products.

Categorization Perfection: Sorting and Organizing with Precision

With the expired products out of the way, it was time to focus on organization. I divided my beauty products into categories, ensuring each one had a designated spot:

1. Makeup: From lipsticks to blush palette, all essentials are now neatly organized. This ensures that every product is easy to find and ready for reach

2. Skincare: Toners, serums, and moisturizers are grouped together, so I won't forget any of these items to be included in my beauty regime.

3. Fragrances: My beloved perfume collection is now beautifully displayed. Each scent has its place, making it easy to choose the perfect fragrance for any occasion.

4. Lotions: Currently obsessed with Rio de Janeiro-inspired lotions, they’ve been given a special spot, making them easy to grab and enjoy.

5. Nail Polish: I'm a sucker for 'em cute bottles! Didn't wear them much tho

The Final Touch: Reorganizing for a Fresh Start

With everything sorted, the last step was rearranging my makeup table. It’s now a model of efficiency and elegance. No more searching through a jumble of products; everything is in its place, making my beauty routine as smooth as possible.

 Our Father's Day celebration began with the search for the perfect belt bag for my husband. Despite numerous online options, I have to be careful because many bags, like the COACH belt/waist/bum bags, proved to be too large and bulky for my husband's small/petite frame. We realized that seeing/trying on the bag in person was essential. After visiting several stores and trying on various styles, we finally found a belt bag that was just the right size and style for him (from Tommy Hilfiger -cheaper than my budget hehe).

To celebrate Father's Day I treated him to a delightful Thai lunch. We enjoyed fragrant rice, steamed fish (which was absolutely delicious!), and mussels omelette (that was so tasty, I’m already planning our return!) & my son's favee green curry. We are not sure about this place before whether we had randomly dine here, but the food is good overall (no complaint, 5/5)

Our day didn’t end there. Following our enjoyable lunch, we headed to my hometown to join in the Eiduladha celebrations. The following day (after Father's day) is Eiduladha!

As Teacher’s Day approaches, I found myself saving gift ideas for my son's teachers, carers, helpers & educators during the Teacher's Day. It’s our first year navigating the world of formal schooling, and I wanted to show our appreciation in a way that’s both meaningful and memorable—without going overboard.

For the wonderful teacher who has taken such great care of Seff, I decided on a sweet treat that’s as delightful as it is personal. I ordered a custom Kek Batik, a rich and tasty traditional cake that I hope will bring a smile to her face. It’s not just a cake; it’s a token of gratitude for all the love and attention poured into them kiddos, especially my little guy.

But I didn’t stop there. Understanding that a touch of practicality can be as appreciated as a sweet indulgence, I also picked out scarves (from TudungRuffle) for the teachers. 

For the rest of the dedicated team at Sekolah Kebangsaan (the official celebration at school comes later than the official Teacher's Day date), including the PPMs who play such a crucial role, I went with a more versatile gift: personalized glasses tumblers. Packed the tumbler into a clear PVC box, with a set of pens (PILOT black, blue & red pens) and a few sweets to enjoy. It’s a combination of practicality and indulgence, perfect for a day that’s all about celebrating those who give so much to our children’s growth.

I wanted to keep things simple and sincere, steering clear of anything that might seem too lavish or out of place. It’s all about showing appreciation in a way that’s genuine and from the heart. Here’s to all the incredible teachers who make a difference every day—may these small tokens of our gratitude add a touch of sweetness to your day!

 Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate with a meal that’s as special as the occasion itself. This year, my husband decided to treat me to lunch at Kay’s Steak and Lobster, a restaurant I had high hopes for. While there were some bright spots, the experience turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag.

Let’s start with the positives. The ambiance at Kay’s is inviting, with a chic yet cozy atmosphere that sets the stage for a pleasant dining experience. The service was commendable; our server was friendly and attentive, and the staff genuinely seemed concerned when we raised issues about our meal.

But now, for the part that was less than ideal: the food. We started with a hopeful forkful of spaghetti, only to find it was, well, just okay. It didn’t quite hit the mark and, to our surprise, my son—who isn’t usually picky—wasn’t impressed either.

The real trouble began with the breaded chicken on the side. The smell was off-putting, and the taste was even worse. We couldn’t quite pinpoint what was wrong, but it was clear that something was amiss. Though we didn’t send the dishes back, we did mention the issue to our server after we were done eating. To our relief, we didn’t get sick, but the incident left a bit of a sour note.

Hours later, the restaurant followed up with my husband, acknowledging that the chicken was indeed not up to standard. They offered to cover medical costs if we had experienced any adverse effects, which was a generous gesture. Thankfully, we were fine, but the offer did little to ease our disappointment.

As for the lobster, it was decent but not the standout dish I had hoped for. It was serviceable, but it lacked the wow factor that would make it a memorable experience.

In summary, Kay’s Steak and Lobster didn’t quite live up to the expectations I had built up. While the staff's response to our feedback was commendable and the ambiance was pleasant, the food was a letdown, with only the lobster making a modest impact. If you’re considering a visit, I’d suggest managing your expectations and perhaps opting for something other than the chicken.
